Emma Thompson has revealed she is happy with her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as it is outside a pub. "I'm right outside a pub, which couldn't be better because I love pubs and I love drinking. Not something that you can easily admit to in Los Angeles because no one drinks here and they're very puritanical about it, which I don't approve of because it's a very spiritual activity," the Academy-award winner joked.

Fellow British actor Hugh Laurie was on hand to help honour his friend, although he revealed slightly more than Emma may have liked. "We actually stepped out briefly together as teenagers, until she dumped me for a mime artist," he said. Emma's Nanny McPhee co-star Maggie Gyllenhaal also posed for pictures when the star was unveiled on Friday.

American actress Megan Fox has revealed her dream role. “I don’t want people to protest this, but I would like to be Sarah Rainmaker in Gen 13 if they ever made that into a movie,” Fox News quoted the actress as saying at the premiere of her new film Jonah Hex.Rainmaker is a fictional superhero from the Gen 13 comic series who has the superpowers of altering the weather and the movement of water with her thoughts. She also has a natural aptitude for combat tactics.

The usually peace-seeking activist was revealed as a lesbian in the second issue of the ongoing series. But despite the character’s fair complexion and light eyes, Fox is sure that physically transforming into Rainmaker is not such a tough job. “She’s a Native American and I have a little bit of that blood in me. It would be a bit of a stretch-but if Jake Gyllenhaal can be the Prince of Persia, I think that I can do that,” Fox said.

Megan Fox will not be in “Transformers 3″ but Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, a British model, was chosen by Michael Bay to play the lead role. After differences in opinion with director Bay, Fox left the series. Fox spent Memorial Day weekend with her boyfriend, Brian Austin Green, in Hawaii. Back in April the two of them co-starred in a video for Wonderland Avenue School in the Hollywood Hills.

The parents of students at the school were upset about budget cuts and wrote the script for the video to draw attention to their cause. Green holds a diploma from North Hollywood High School. Fox via correspondence tested out of high school at 17 so she could move to Los Angelos to act. Huntington-Whiteley has worked as a model for Victoria’s Secret but she has never acted before.

Twilight lovers Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have discussed having children together. The on – and off – screen couple let news of their baby talk slip during an Oprah Winfrey Show. The secret came out as the pair desperately tried to dodge a question about their blossoming romance.

“Kristen’s pregnant,” 24-year-old Pattinson joked after Oprah asked them whether rumours about their relationship were true. Looking uncomfortable, Stewart explained: “He really likes to shock people because he thinks it’s funny. “We’ve actually had this con…” she faltered.

Quickly correcting her slip-up and pointing to her stomach, the 20-year-old actress added: “He’s having the baby because I can’t. “Imagine a baby coming out of this thing. That’s just not going to happen.” Stewart and Pattinson sent the Oprah audience into a frenzy as they appeared on her special Twilight show alongside co-stars Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning.

As the star of the opening film at Cannes, Russell Crowe was well aware that much of the attention would be on him and his summer blockbuster, Robin Hood, on the first night of the festival. And as he prepared to step into the spotlight once again, the Aussie actor was keeping his wife of seven years, Danielle Spencer, close by his side.

Handsome Russell, 46, held hands with his spouse as he made his way down the red carpet for the world premiere of his latest venture. The Oscars are supposed to be the movie industry's night of nights, but this year the red carpet fashion was far more impressive at Cannes. US, French and international stars went all-out with the ruffles and froufrou at the film festival's opening night with some more daring designs than the simple and safe fashion choices that often leave us snoring on Oscars night.

Cate Blanchett stood out from the crowd with a silver eagle-adorned Alexander McQueen dress. Eva Longoria dragged half her body weight up the red carpet in a ruffled Pucci wedding-style train, and Kate Beckinsale had fashion critics divided with her super-fluffy Marchesa frock and beehive 'do. "It looks as if a baby chick has hatched and hitched a lift in all those ruffles and feathers," scoffed a French observer on the red carpet.

The star read "Luis" instead of "Louis," and there was no hyphen between Louis and Dreyfus. "The misspelling was so perfectly apt, a great metaphor for show business," Louis-Dreyfus said after the ceremony. "Right when you think you've made it, you get knocked down," she continued. "It's an ideal metaphor for how this business works." Following the ceremony, it was announced that the last Walk of Fame honouree whose name was misspelled was actor Dick Van Dyke in 1993.

Attendees at the Louis-Dreyfus ceremony included cast and crew members of "Christine," as well as "Seinfeld" director Andy Ackerman, co-star Jason Alexander and co-creator Larry David, who joked, "I am prepared to give up my nights and weekends to guard this (star) with my life from the filth and pollutants to which it's prone.

Jessica Alba's many admirers won't want to miss her latest movie because there's no telling when she will be back.

The 28-year-old actor has admitted she no longer feels compelled to put herself on the big screen as much as before the birth of her two-year-old daughter Honor.

“Having my daughter has certainly shifted my priorities,” says Alba, currently promoting her new movie The Killer Inside Me.

“It's all about giving her the best life possible, and that means finding that right balance between being home and working when I can, rather than being so career-driven.

” And Jessica says she now finds her sex symbol status harder to understand now she's a busy family girl. “It's just a bizarre perspective that I have nothing to do with,” she adds.

Megan Fox was spotted on the set of Transformers 3 doing previz shots (visualizing scenes before filming begins) for the third installment. While actual principal photography will start soon, the session reunited Fox with the films' Bumblebee.

Directed by Michael Bay from an Ehren Kruger script, the next film stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich and Ken Jeong. It is scheduled for a release on July 1, 2011.
